To promote their acoustic EP (click here to watch the project) the ‘Border Bastards’ ask me to design a poster for the release concert. Designed in black and white, the poster (A3 size) retains the design features of the CD package. It plays with the band’s logo (the two gothic letters B) creating a mustache, beneath which lies the figure of the great Slovenian poet Srečko Kosovel. At least a sketch inspired by typography collage art frequently used in California and UK punk scene, but transported into the cultural context of the neighboring territory between Italy and Slovenia, where the band was born. ‘Border Bastard’ born, precisely.
